This Quinoa is grown spray-free by Dan and Jacqui od Kiwi Quinoa on their family farm Northwest of Taihape. It is a unique ‘sweet’ variety that does not require polishing to remove the bitter saponins found on most other varieties. Quinoa is naturally gluten-free and is super nutritious, offers a high amino acid content and is high in B vitamins, iron, zinc, magnesium, calcium and protein. It can be cooked like rice, it takes about 20 minutes of simmering and is ready when the tail of the quinoa has unfurled. As it has not been treated it can also be sprouted.
